Project Description
Irrigation System Upgrade at Industrial Park
PROJECT: Lockhart Industrial Park
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY:
At Lockhart Industrial Park, management was paying $5-6K monthly for city water to irrigate the corporate park’s landscaping. After assessing the feasibility, we identified a location to drill a well close enough to an electric source and within several feet of the existing irrigation main line. After isolating the existing meter water source, a new valve was installed that allowed a new irrigation pump to feed the irrigation system.
The total cost to renovate the system was $45,000, and the property recovered the cost of its investment in just eight months. The savings thereafter were reallocated to provide continued landscape upgrades to improve the asset’s curb appeal.
